Steve Jobs biopic to premiere at the Telluride Film Festival

This weekend, if you find yourself at the 42nd Annual Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, you may be lucky enough to catch Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs biopic.

Originally believed to be debuting elsewhere, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that the first screening of the much anticipated film will be sometime over the weekend at the festival, more than likely tomorrow, followed by a screening at the New York Film Festival, and it’s official premiere on the 9th of October.

It was also announced that director Danny Boyle would receive one of the 2015 Silver Medallion Awards at the festival, which are “given to recognize an artist’s significant contribution to the world of cinema.”

The film has been a surprisingly quiet resident in rumortown, although the Aaron Sorkin written movie has been given more support by those who actually knew jobs ( especially in comparison to jObs). It remains to be seen if the movie is epic, or an epic fail. Based on the talent of those involved, we’re going for Epic, and hope that the reviews of those who’ll see it this weekend will confirm this!

Below is the trailer which was released in July this year.  Are you excited to see the new biopic of Steve Jobs?
