Amazon Dash

Amazon has just bought out a new product! Are you excited? Well if you like ordering stuff from Amazon, but not really ordering stuff from Amazon, you should be!

um… what?

Well, Amazon has bought out a service they call Amazon Dash Button. It’s a programmable button that you have in your house for certain products. Let’s take for example – ‘Tide’ laundry detergent. You place the key in the laundry somewhere (it comes with adhesive and a reusable hook). The key must be connected to your wi-fi, so that when you’re low on, for example, Tide, you press the button, and Voila! Tide is ordered on Amazon and probably already on it’s way.

The product is closely related to the Amazon Dash (you can tell by the name) which is part of Amazon Fresh and is still in it’s ‘by invitation’ only stage, but is a doddlewhatzit gadget that helps you shop Amazon – either by telling it what you need to order or scanning an item you want to add to your Amazon shopping list.

So far there’s 16 products with Amazon Dash buttons (see above) and, as we all know how much kids (…and adults) like to push buttons, each button can only be pushed once. Until your order is delivered, the button won’t respond to any more pushes.

If you’re interested in Amazon Dash Button, it’s free for Prime members and you can request an invitation here.
