What is the Movi? It’s the future, fool! But it’s right now! BAM! It’s also a cute little 4K video camera that lets you edit as you broadcast. You read that right.
It’s super rad. It comes with a Movi app which, when linked up with the camera, gives you nine different shots to choose from, all of which have motion and faces detected and are at various degrees of zoom.
You can change the shots using the normal iPhone jazz- pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and tap to cut to another shot. Then, when you’ve got what you want, save the video to your phone or an included 16GB microSD card. You can also broadcast live like the baller you are.
Now, to be upfront, the 4k is actually 4k however the actual video it records is 720p because all of the rest of the resolution is used dealing with the realtime, you also can’t attach a mic, and there’s a $9 per month subscription fee for the live streaming feature.
It’s pretty rad. Come April, you can buy it for $399, but you can pre-order one right now from Movi’s website for just $200.

Following the Christmas Holiday period, mobile analytics firm Flurry released a report that must have given Apple shareholders and bosses alike a nice little holiday shiver up their spine.
During the oh-so-profitable- Holiday season dates of December 19th through December 25th, 49.1% of all new devices activated were Apple devices, which, whilst ever so slightly down from last year, still makes them dominant over other mobile device companies.
Samsung devices were 19.8%of all device activations, and Nokia devices made up just 2%.
The 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus represented 27% of new device activations, whilst the most popular remained the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 at 65%.
Happy New Year to you, Apple. If you’re one of those lucky folk who got a brand new shiny iPhone or tablet over the Holiday season, why not make money on top of luck? Sell us your old iPhone Dummy!
Do you have a 2016 wish for yourself, your family or your company? Jeff Bezos does. Do you think it’s the same? It might be. Want to find out?
It’s to win an Academy Award. As ambitious as we might be, this is not on our wish list for 2016, but kudos to you if it’s on yours! Jeff, the CEO of Amazon, is pinning his hopes on Amazon Studios to win the prestigious award.
From the Sauce:
“We want to win an Oscar,” he told German newspaper Die Welt in a recent interview. “Amazon has already won Golden Globes and Emmys. Our current target is to produce 16 home movies a year.”
Amazon’s first movie, the Spike Lee film Chi-Raq, is apparently already generating Oscar Buzz, (although a not very great imdb rating…) so he’s nicely on path to succeeding. But then – he’s the CEO of Amazon. That’s seemingly a path to success all on it’s own, whatever the industry.
Happy New Year Kids! Hope you had one hell of a bash to bring 2016 into the world! And what a beautiful monster she’s turning out to be…
We hope all your resolutions and hopes and dreams come true this year, and that our resolution comes true too – that our world is filled with your stinky old iPhones!
You might be able to live stream Thursday Night Football next year. The NFL has put the word out to digital streaming companies such as Amazon, Google, Yahoo and Apple that this is what they want – and it’s up for grabs – on a non-exclusive basis, of course.
The traditional TV rights will be given to whoever wins the proposal winning war between CBS, ESPN, Fox, NBC and Turner Sports.
The live streaming would feature the same ads and live events as the traditional TV show.
Currently, CBS produces all “Thursday Night Football” games as part of its estimated $300 million NFL deal. NFL Network simulcasts the games and carries eight games exclusively as part of its current partnership with CBS, which began in the 2014 season.
Could you see a benefit to watching Thursday Night Football through a digital streaming service?
Are you interested in going to Prague? It’s a pretty chill place, you know. And now, apart from all the rad things they have there, you can go nerd out at a brand new Apple museum! WHAT! WE KNOW!
The museum houses the largest private collection of Apple products, with all kinds of Apple ish from 1976 to 2012.
If you make it there, you can see an Apple Lisa, which is one of 100,000 made, an Apple II, as well as lesser known Apple products like the Apple Camera, papers and contracts, and mementos from Steve Jobs’ life.
Yaaaaaaaaaaay. A new Kim Kardashian app! Just what you’ve been waiting for? Is it? Is it really? Well, if it is, you’re in luck. A few days ago the super famous Mrs Kanye released an app called Kimoji, which is a collection of emoji’s related to her and her fantastical life that you can use to communicate with your friends and family.
Like Steve Jobs said: “A lot of times, people don’t know what they want until you show it to them.”
The app costs $1.99 and you’ll get access to another keyboard with a bunch of Kimoji’s. Like these:
Oh, and despite what you may have heard, or seen, the app did not break the app store when it was released, but it is super popular. Within a day of release, it was already the top-grossing entertainment app on Apple’s App Store.
