Apple facing first ever decline in Sales this quarter?

The Apple earnings call was yesterday, and all looked pretty good, with a bunch of profit and revenue records being broken. However. CEO Tim Cook also warned/advised that they’re expecting iPhone sales to decline  in the March quarter.

This would make it the first year-over-year decline since, well, ever, and it will happen if they sell less than 61.2 million iPhones in the quarter.

So many iPhones…..

This would also contribute the Apple’s expected decline in overall revenue, forecasted at $50-$53 billion. The same quarter a year ago had a total revenue of $58 billion.

However Cook did mention that 60% of customers who owned an iPhone before the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus haven’t upgraded yet – which means come September and the iPhone 7, BAM EVERYONE UPGRADES! Better be worth it, Cook!

Even though the decline was talked about, and remains talked about, with some calling it the end of the iPhone, etc, etc, it’s not, and Apple remain positive about their sales. Which they should, you know, ‘cos they’re selling so many iPhones.
