Google Fi expanding

Google’s Project Fi is expanding.

Previously only supported by the Nexus 6, now, users can order a data-only SIM card for devices including the Nexus 7, Nexus 9, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and Galaxy Tab S.

Data price and range remains the same at $10 per gigabyte in over 120 countries. and users can have up to nine data-only SIM cards on their account.

Beginning last Monday, Verizon customers charged an extra $20 fee for upgrading

As of Monday the 4th of April, Verizon customers looking to upgrade will have to pay a new $20 upgrade fee.

Boooo-urns!

The $20 flat rate charge will be applied to all smartphones purchased on a Device Payment financing plan, at full retail price, or Apple’s new iPhone Upgrade Program.

This leaves T-Mobile, (the ‘uncarrier’) as the only carrier that doesn’t charge an upgrade fee, with AT&T charging $15 per smartphone added or upgraded with AT&T Next, and Sprint charging an upgrade or activation fee up to $36 per device.

Sorry, Verizoners.

More next gen iPhone Rumors

2017 will bring an iPhone with some major updates that, some might say, people have been waiting for for a while.

We’re looking at getting an iPhone with a possibly curved AMOLED display, wireless charging, and biometric recognitions more complex than the Touch I.D.

Probably slightly dependent on the success of the iPhone SE and the 2016 new models will be the size of the 2017 iPhone models, with some venturing a guess that they will stick with the smaller models, and others obviously, debating that guess.

So here’s what we have – significant changes are usually reserved for the full number models, which means that based on history, we’d be looking at significant changes this year for the iPhone 7. However, the rumor mill is pretty certain that the changes that are predicted won’t be able to occur until the model released in Fall 2017.

So whatsup Apple? What can we expect with this  year’s new iPhone models? AND WHERE IS OUR LINE OF SIGHT TELEPORTATION FEATURE?

Japanese emoticons are all the rage now

Open Settings > General > Keyboard > Add New Keyboard > Japanese >Kana.

Go for it! Just be careful if you’re sending texts to someone who actually reads Kana, cos you know, who knows what you might be saying.

iPhone rumor!

Upcoming iPhone models will reportedly have OLED screens as early as 2017, according to reports. The screens will most likely be made by Samsung and LG – with Apple apparently signing a $12 million dollars to secure the deal.

OLED means Organic Light-emitting diode. Essentially, it means thinner, lighter, more power efficient and more flexible screened iPhones coming our way.

We like all those things!

Samsung already use OLED technology, and Apple does too – on the Apple Watch.

If these reports are incorrect, we can still probably expect OLED screens on iPhones, just maybe not as soon.

Apple’s predicted iPhone lineup gets bigger

So, this year we’re expecting a 4-inch iPhone named the iPhone SE, and 3 models of the iPhone 7 – ( iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and possibly iPhone Pro).

Amid all that, there appears a rumor of another iPhone model that may appear in 2017-18. A 5.8-inch model, to be precise. This model will incorporate another rumor floating around – an OLED screen.

The iPhone 7 models that are expected in the fall will most likely have a thinner body, flush rear camera, and stereo speakers, and – no 3.5-mm headphone jack.

The iPhone Pro, if a reality, will feature a dual-lens rear camera.

What’s your perfect iPhone size?

Use Applepay to pay for your gas!

You can now pay for your gas at more than 6000 ExxonMobile stations, across 46 states, using Apple Pay. By the end of the year, you c=will be able to use the payment service in almost all of their 10,000 locations in the U.S.

Now, before you rush off to test it yourself – there’s a little difference in how you use Apple Pay at these locations. You’ll need the ExxonMobile app (it’s free).

Now you can go test it out. Let us know how it goes!

Apple Special media Event is coming!

The Apple Special Media event is coming at your FACE! At all of our faces, actually. Official invitations are OUT, rumortown is ramping up, and people are eager beavers. Some people are just beavers.

Either way. The event is tag-lined “Let us Loop you in”. It’s all happening in Cupertino, at Apple’s 1 Infinite Loop campus at 10 am PT/1 pm ET.

What can we expect? Well, the following product announcements are expected:

A 4-inch iPhone called iPhone SE. This model will have an A9 chip and M9 chip with always-on Siri, Apple Pay and Live Photos, although it will look more like an iPhone 5 with the power button on top of the phone.

A smaller 9.7 inch iPad Pro. Basically, exactly that. A smaller 9.7 inch iPad pro (regular size is 12.9-inch). Also somewhat expected is for it to have A9X and M9 chips and upgraded camera specs.

We can also expect new Apple Watch bands. And, who knows, maybe a teleportation Apple Watch feature? Yeah? Mr Cook? Mr Ive? Yeah?

Fingers crossed?

March 21st

Yelp for people is here.

peeple

Peeple is a free  app that launched recently, and yes, it’s exactly like Yelp, but for people.

From the Sauce: “Peeple is an app that allows you to recommend and be recommended by the people you interact with in your daily lives in three ways: personally, professionally, and romantically.”

Uh oh, says nearly everyone.

The app was announced late last year, and nearly everyone thought it was a prank. But it’s not. Get ready for people to rate you, guy. Yeah, I’m talking to you. You better not look at me like that, because I have Peeple.

BUT it’s not quite the end of the world as we know it, as you can’t be super anonymous ( which we all know makes people into monsters), you have to have a FB profile that’s been active for at least 6 months and a cell phone number, and you need those things to create a profile, and from there you can rate people.

We can see this turning into a weird dating site. Guy likes girl he knows vaguely, he ‘rates’ her and tells everyone she’s awesome. Girl must approve of rating, girl likes being told she’s awesome, girl dates guy. Guy is actually a big meanie, girl breaks up with guy, guy rates her badly, girl doesn’t approve rating and moves on with her life.

Right?

That, combined with Linkedin, Kinda.

UNTIL next month, when they’re planning to release a paid version, where anyone who pays can see all reviews written about everyone, even if they’re not approved. Ouch.

Will you use Peeple?
