Everyone Can Code revamped!
Apple has overhauled its ‘Everyone Can Code’ curriculum to bring it to more elementary and middle school students, with more resources for teachers, a new guide for students, and updated Swift Coding Club materials.
Everyone can code is centered around interactive puzzles and activities to make coding more approachable and connected to students’ every day lives. It’s currently used ( according to Apple) by millions of students in more than 5,000 schools worldwide.

Apple Teams Up With 100cameras to Teach Chicago Students iPhone Photography
This past Fall, Apple partnered with 100cameras, a nonprofit organization that aims to teach photography to adolescents. As part of this partnership, Apple provided participating students at DRW College Prep in Chicago with the new iPhone 11.
100cameras teaches the students how to use photography to tell their own stories about growing up in Chicago.
Angela Popplewell, 100cameras’ co-founder, said:
“As the residents of a neighborhood in Chicago that is often overlooked, being given the new iPhone that had been released just a few weeks prior felt like a momentous opportunity,”
Apple’s vice president of iPhone Worldwide Product Marketing Kaiann Drance said:
“It was amazing to collaborate with 100cameras and the talented and creative students at DRW,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of iPhone Worldwide Product Marketing. “The iPhone 11 camera with all its intuitive capabilities right there in your hand is such a powerful storytelling tool. To see the photos the students captured of the ways they see the world around them was truly inspiring.”
Following each program, the photos that students took are sold through 100cameras with 100 percent of the proceeds going back to the local community partner organizations that 100cameras visits.

New MacBook Pro?
According to those in the know, Apple will announce a 16-inch MacBook Pro this week, as early as today, but likely tomorrow.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro will probably have slimmer bezels, a better scissor switch keyboard, and a standalone Touch ID sensor. Pricing will more than likely be higher than the $2,799 high-end 15-inch MacBook Pro.
We can also look forward to the imminent release of Apple’s annual holiday gift guide BECAUSE IT’S ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!
And you know what looks great under a Christmas tree? A shiny new Macbook Pro. Or a puppy. And world peace. Christmas shopping done?
Apple may end up bundling new services together
According to a report from the Financial Times, Apple is talking with record labels about the proposition of bundling Apple Music and Apple TV+ as part of one big bundle for one flat monthly rate.
This isn’t to say that it’s going to happen though – with some record labels apparently concerned about losing revenue modeling it this way.
If Apple wanted to bundle all of its subscription services together – Apple News+, Apple Arcade, AppleCare+, and iCloud storage – it would be great for the end user especially if it was a family subscription, as long as it was priced correctly.
The total cost currently for each individual subscription of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple News+, and Apple Arcade rounds up to $30 per month, so any future mega bundle would need to be under that cost.
You can now buy the 10.2-Inch iPad in some Apple Stores
As of today in the US and Canada, you can buy a new 10.2-inch iPad on the Apple website and then select a 30-minute window to pick it up at an Apple Store.
You can also use this process to check the inventory of the device based on your ZIP code.
To check if your local store has the device in stock, go to the 10.2-inch iPad purchase page on Apple’s website, configure whatever preferences you want regarding color and size, and under ‘pickup’ it will show you which stores have available devices in stock. You can click on ‘Show more stores’ to enter a zip code to see other availability too.
When you get to the Apple Store, let an employee know you have an order to pick up, show them your valid government-issued photo ID and BAM BRAND NEW IPAD, FRIEND!
The 10.2-inch iPad starts at $329.
