Multiple arrests made for Apple Store thefts

Eight suspects have been arrested for the spate of Apple store robberies that have occurred across California recently, with arrest warrants issued for 9 more suspects who are yet to be located.

The group stole more than $1 million in property across 19 counties and have been charged for conspiracy to commit grand theft.

The thefts always happened very quickly, on surveillance camera, and with those involved wearing hooded sweatshirts. They allegedly entered Apple Stores, grabbed several display items and fled.

From the Sauce, Oakland police Chief Anne E. Kirkpatrick:

“The successful collaborative efforts of law enforcement has resulted in dismantling a large criminal ring”
