Donald Trump twitterfights with John Legere. Again.

Republican candidate Donald Trump is an avid Tweeter – and this past weekend he used his Tweet powers to get in a Twitterfight with none other than our favorite non-carrier, T-Mobile CEO John Legere.  And this is not for the first time.

Last Spring, Legere booked himself into the very nice Trump Hotel in New York, BUT complained of noise and that the hotel wouldn’t allow him to switch rooms. On Twitter.

Trump was not a fan –  “T-Mobile service is terrible! Why can’t you do something to improve it for your customers. I don’t want it in my buildings.”

Legere promptly checked out of the Trump hotel.

Now, they’re back at it. Because they have so much free time?

It all started with Ronda Rousey’s painful defeat in the ring over the weekend.Trump is apparently not a fan of her either. –

Twitter expanding the like option with emoji?

According to those in the know, Twitter is testing expanding the ‘like’ or heart button into multiple emoji reactions, similar to how Facebook is currently rolling out Facebook Reactions –  buttons other than ‘like’.

This is in line with a growing number of people who have a difficult time pressing ‘like’ when a friend or fellow Twitter-er puts something out into the social media world that is not necessarily happy.

The rumor is that the heart option on twitter will be reinvented to include a pop up menu that shows a bunch of emoji’s showing an array of emotions.

Twitter has so far not commented on this, but we for one think it is a GREAT idea.

New Spotify feature!

Do you like going out? Do you like music? Are you alive? If the answer to all three of those questions is yes, than the newest (and maybe raddest) feature on Spotify is for you!

Concerts is a really simple idea that promises to do a wonderful thing – recommends concerts in your local area based on your taste in music. The new feature will let you know when your favorite bands are going to be in town as well as offer recommendations of new artists playing in your area based on the music you listen to.

Then, if you’re like, “heck yes I want to go see this band who’s music I’m totally into in my local area”, then you can buy tickets instantly with the help of Songkick.

Suuuuper easy.

On your phone, simply open the Browse tab on Spotify and select Concerts to see a personalized list of what’s playing nearby.You can change the location as well, so if you’re traveling you can find out what awesome bands are playing there, too.

Sign up with Spotify here. You can access the Concerts feature without needing to get the Premium version, but if you’re not so into ads, you can try Premium free for 30 days, after that it’s  $9.99 per month.

Offline Google Maps will save the day

Google Maps is pretty much a godsend, right? Right. And now Google’s made it an even bigger godsend. Now you can see where exactly the hell you are, and how you can get to where you actually want to be offline. Offline knowledge! knowledge is power… so offline power! Gee, Thanks Google.

Straight from the Sauce:

“Whereas before you could simply view an area of the map offline, now you can get turn-by-turn driving directions, search for specific destinations, and find useful information about places, like hours of operation, contact information or ratings.

You can download an area by searching for a city, county or country, for instance, and tapping “Download” on the resulting place sheet, or by going to “Offline Areas” in the Google Maps menu and tapping on the ‘+’ button.

Once downloaded, Google Maps will move into offline mode automatically when it recognizes you’re in a location with spotty service or no connectivity at all. When a connection is found, it will switch back online so you can easily access the full version of Maps, including live traffic conditions for your current route.”

Loading the map onto your phone and saving it can save a substantial amount of data and battery life, and give you offline power. Yes please.

Apple introducing a new shopping category to the App Store!

The iOS App store will today be updated to include a new shopping category.

The category will encompass apps that offer shopping (DUH), as well as auction apps, savings, coupons, reviews etc. etc. These apps previously found their home in the Lifestyle App but, as that category has grown so much, Apple seems like they thought it was fair to give shopping their very own roomy home.

Apple will be highlighting those Apps within the category that support Apple Pay, but the things to look out for today is the ‘Save While You Shop’ category which will be offering exclusive discounts, free gifts and free shipping at places like Everlane, Zappos, Groupon, and Nordstrom. SWEET, RIGHT?

Look out for the Shopping category to pop up later today in the App store, and, looking to the future a lil’, in the Apple TV App store ( which currently only and Entertainment and Games).

Apps & Gadgets of the week! Pet friendly edition

We all love our little best friends in fur -n- feather costumes, right? Whether we’re talking Egg the chicken who’s scared of thunderstorms, Papanu Guinea Pig, Itty Bitty the cat, Barrack Obarka the dog, Urso the friendly bear, or Mr Squeezy the Boa, we all want to make sure our best pals are looked after, happy and safe.

The ASPCA App, PetTech,  and The American Red Cross Pet First Aid App are all comprehensive mobile apps that cater to pet emergencies, including what to do if faced with a missing pet, pets in a natural disaster, poison control, CPR and a whole host of other vital services and information sources. Pick one that best suits you and your pet or download them all to be really safe.

*BarkHappy, DoggyDatez and Tindog are ‘dating’ apps for your dog…kinda. If you want to meet up with other similarly minded dog lovers/walkers, or find dog friendly places, use these apps to make a big happy dog loving group of friends. Not in a weird way.
